All activities pointing to the event and the event in itself are two sides of a coin, and this coin is experience. Before the main concert, there was a poetry class, where a renowned poet/writer Shittu Fowora, lectured on poetry and what makes a good poem. The class was very much interactive and all participants were offered certificates of participation.
Later in the evening, we all headed for the main concert which witnessed a large turnout. There was so much crowd beyond our expectation that a lot of people had to resort to standing. The event opened with an open-mic platform featuring members of the audience that had a poem or two to present.
Then the fire began, the 15 major acts blazed the stage with their powerful poetry. The audience were unable to hide their expressions and had to suppress screams, tap fingers in excitement.

And then, the next morning, as early as 7am, we converged and had a poethick hangout/mountaineering expedition where we were basked in the aura of nature, poetry, photography, fun and laughter. It was a wow! experience. See photos below.
