Go Poethick: BIGGEST POETRY EVENT IN OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY COMING UP ON MARCH 14TH.

Obafemi Awolowo University would be stormed with a powerful event tagged “GO POETHICK”. The event would come up by 4:00pm on Saturday, 14th of March, 2015. It will feature spoken word poetry performances and sensational soul music. Some of the poets that would be rocking the stage includes: Adetimilehin ‘Vic Adex (Spoken Word Poet) James Ademuyiwa (Spoken Word Poet), Adedayo Agarau (Spoken Word Poet), Graciano (Spoken Word Poet) and lots of other budding/established poets on Oau campus.There shall as well be music performances by soft soul musicians to entertain the audience.

The event has been endorsed by renowned poetry promoter, publisher and former Chairman Association of Nigerian Authors, Abuja, Eriata Oribabhor, Prof. Gbemisola Adeoti of OAU, Words Rhymes & Rhythm, Nigeria's largest poetry platform and other prominent literary figures with Pulse.ng, Nigeria's largest online news and entertainment platform as online media partner.

A lecturer at the institution, Ms. Aderonke Ogundiwin, described the event as 'laudable'.

"Words are powerful and poems are impactful. The use of words is natural but the ability to use words to reach the deepest part of the human soul is a rare gift; some have it, but few effect it," Ogundiwin said.

"GoPoethick is a laudable initiative and a worthwhile effort that celebrates poets and much more their poems.

"It’s a function to attend."
